REMORTGAGE CONVEYANCING
Remortgaging a property
Whether you're moving to a better rate, releasing equity or changing the names on your mortgage, our team handles the legal side of your remortgage and keeps you updated in plain English along the way.
Your remortgage
What does remortgage conveyancing involve?
Once your new mortgage offer is issued, we carry out the legal work needed to switch your mortgage to the new lender.
We check the title to your property, carry out any searches your new lender requires, and confirm their conditions are met. We also obtain a redemption figure from your current lender so the existing mortgage can be paid off.
On completion we receive the new lender's funds, repay your existing mortgage, send any balance to you and register the new mortgage at Land Registry.
