Purchase conveyancing
Buying and selling a property
When you're selling one home and buying the next, our team handles both sides of your move together, keeps the chain moving, and updates you in plain English along the way.
Your move
What does a sale and purchase involve?
We run your sale and your purchase as one linked transaction, so both complete on the same day.
On your sale we prepare the contract pack and answer the buyer's enquiries. On your purchase we check the title and contract papers, order searches and raise enquiries. We work with the other solicitors in the chain to agree a single exchange and completion date.
On completion day we repay your existing mortgage, put the sale proceeds towards your purchase, and then deal with Stamp Duty land tax and register your new home at Land Registry.
